Dorothy Louise Green Maddix, 85, of Olive Hill, KY entered into rest on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at the Carter Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Grayson, KY. She was born January 6, 1931 in Carter County, KY a daughter of the late Pat Green and Daisy Lawson Green.

Dorothy was a lifetime homemaker and of the Christian Holiness faith. She enjoyed attending services at all of the various Christian Holiness churches in the area.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Maddix was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Kenneth “Dick” Maddix; sister-in-law, Loretta Maddix and brother-in-law, Sam Burton.

She is survived by one daughter, Marcella Blevins of Olive Hill, KY. Also surviving are three sisters-in-law, Juanita Burton, Pauline (George) Lowe and Elaine Fisher, of Olive Hill, KY; one brother, Estill Smith of Dayton, OH; two brothers-in-law, Jimmie Maddix and Roy Maddix, of Olive Hill, KY.  Mrs. Maddix is also survived by a granddaughter, Stephanie Hope Blevins (Brandon Blair); grandson, Michael Joe Butler and great-grandchildren Brandon G. Ferguson II and Waylon Kole Ferguson and their father, Brandon Ferguson, all of Olive Hill, KY.

Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, September 4, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the Duvall and Moore Funeral Home and Cremation Service 149 Whitt St. Olive Hill, KY with Bro. Eddie Porter officiating. Burial will follow in the Olive Hill Memorial Park in Olive Hill, KY.

Friends may call Saturday, September 3, 2016 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM and after 9:00 AM Sunday at the funeral home.
