1957-2019

Clayton Eugene Humphries, 62, of Olive Hill, KY, entered into rest on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, KY.  He was born January 19, 1957, in Grayson, KY, a son of Wilma Lawhorn Humphries and the late John D. “Junior” Humphries.

Eugene was of the Baptist faith.  He had many interests, which included logging, drag racing, working on old cars and keeping his boy’s in line.  He loved to hunt and fish and spend time with his grandkids.

In addition to his father, who entered into rest on the same day, April 18, 2019, he was also preceded in death by one son-in-law, David Conley.

Eugene is survived by wife, Diana Strouse Humphries; two daughters, Kayla Jo Conley and Eugenia Lynn Smith; five sons, John Eugene Humphries, Todd Eugene Humphries, Clayton Lee Humphries, Eric Starostka and Lindzy D. Humphries; eight grandchildren, Tabitha, Garrett, Hannah, Ryleigh, Preston, Ean, Waylin, Braylon, Lexi and Nova.   He also leaves behind a host of relatives and friends that will greatly miss him.

Joint Funeral Services will be conducted for Eugene and his father, Junior Humphries, at 12:00 Noon, Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service with Bro. Bobby Day and Bro. Paul Webb officiating. Burials will follow at the Fultz Cemetery.

Friends may visit for a joint visitation for both Eugene and Junior from 1:00pm to 9:00pm, Monday, April 22, 2019 and from 9:00am and until the time of service, Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service located at 149 Whitt Street, Olive Hill, KY 41164.
