1938-2019

Charles Larry Jaynes, 80, better known as Charlie of Olive Hill, KY, left this earth to be with his maker, Saturday Morning, March 16, 2019 surrounding by his family. Charlie was born May 28, 1938 in Carter County, KY a son of the late Claude and Evelyn Lucille Tyree “Big Mom” Jaynes.  He served his country in the United States Airforce, worked at General Refractory Brickyard and Retired from A.O. Smith, He also attended the Limestone Apostolic Church.

In addition to his parents Charlie was preceded in death by one son, Jeffrey Craig Jaynes; three sisters and brothers-in-laws, Alberta Louise and Truman Kiser, Joan and Herman Day, Mame Claudette and Thomas Addy all of Olive Hill; one brother, Claude Jaynes Jr. who lived in Beaumont, TX.

Charlie is survived by his loving and devoted babe of 58 years Paula Anita Bradley Jaynes whom he Wed on June 11, 1960; one son, Charles Larry Jaynes Jr and friend Mary Harlow of Olive Hill, KY; five grandchildren, Justin and Chelsa Jaynes, Ashley and Chris Shavers, Nathan Jaynes, Chad Jaynes, Brad and Jessica Jaynes; six great grandchildren, Liam, Lincoln, Emily, Trista, Roman, and Cruz; and one sister-in-law, Betty Jaynes of Orange, TX.

In addition to these he is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who mourn his passing.

Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 PM Wednesday March 20, 2019 at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service, with Bro. Rick Crank Officiating and Eulogy by Herbie Jones . Burial will follow in the Gearheart Cemetery, with military Honors. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.

Friends may visit 6-9 PM Tuesday March 19, 2019 and from 8:30-1:00 PM Wednesday at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 149 Whitt Street Olive Hill, KY 41164.
