Sandra (Zuvers) Maddix

Sandra Zuvers “Sandy” Maddix, age 71, of Olive Hill, KY entered into rest Tuesday Morning April 9, 2024, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, KY surrounded by her loving family after courageous battle with Cancer. She was born on January 15, 1953, in Bryan, OH, a daughter of the late Marvin and Musetta Clark Zuvers.

Sandy was a homemaker and a member of Grahn Hill Freewill Baptist Church. Church was a top priority in her life, and she enjoyed attending whenever she could. She also enjoyed bingo, working in her flowers, gardening, and farming with her Husband.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Loving Husband of 50 Years Homer Wallace Maddix in 2022. One son, Cledith Ray Maddix;  Sandy Zuvers; five sisters-in-law, Sandy Zuvers, Barb Maddix, Wanda Fultz, Charlene McEwen, and Maxine Maddix; seven brothers-in-law, Charles Maddix, Cledith Maddix, Gary Maddix, Larry Maddix, Johnny Maddix, Joe Rob Maddix, Kenny Maddix.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan and Amy  Mehring of Defiance, OH; one step daughter and son-in-law, Tora and Norman Knight of Columbus, OH; one daughter-in-law and her husband Judy and Charles Slayers of Olive Hill, KY; one sister and brother-in-law, Barb and Bob Ellis of Bryan, OH; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Jerry and Janet Zuvers of Portage, PA and Steve Zuvers of Bryan, OH. Two grandchildren, Adam James, and Baby Charles Salyers; Four step grandchildren, Toni Hayes, Austin Hayes, Angel Lynn, and Chantelle Rose; four step great-grandchildren, Braylenn Ray, Aleah Rose, Breanna Nicole and Xander Lee; two sisters-in-laws, Janet Maddix, Ernestine Maddix Tackett. Special Friends, Ollie, and Jeannie Boggs. In addition to these she is survived by a host of Nieces, Nephews, Relatives and Friends that will cherish her memory.

Funeral Services will be conducted 12:30 PM Saturday April 13, 2024, at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Olive Hill, KY with Bro. Jimmy Barker, and Bro. James Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Maddix Cemetery in Grahn, KY.

Visitation will be 10:30 AM-12:30 PM Saturday April 13, 2024, at the Duvall and Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 149 Whitt Street, Olive Hill, KY 41164.

Pallbearers will be Scottie Maddix, Bradley Branham, Brandon Branham, Lance Adams, Jessie Maddix, Michael Roark.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Randy Adkins and Amanda Williams.
