Pauline Bear Rice, 78, of Olive Hill, Ky entered into rest Tuesday morning at her residence surrounded by her family following an extended illness. She was born December 20, 1945 in Grahn, KY, a daughter of the late James Hardin Bear and Emily Ethel Boggs Bear.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Husband George Clifton Rice, three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Lucille Bear, Annie Catherine Holbrook and her husband Luster, Margie Holbrook and her husband Clabe; one brother, Ray Bear; one sister-in-law Charlena Bear.

Pauline was a member of the Kirk Memorial Baptist Church in Grahn, KY for many years, she retired from Dairy Queen in Olive Hill after 20 service in maintenance. She loved to draw Horses and Mules, working in the Garden and working on the farm, if a job needed to be done, she was there, she was also notably a wonderful cook.

She is survived by two sisters Esther Bear and Nemo Bear; two brothers, Floyd Bear and Ervin Bear; one sister-in-law, Diana Bear. In addition to these she is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends that will cherish her memory.

Funeral Services will be conducted 12:00 Noon Thursday April 4, 2024, at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Olive Hill, KY with Bro. Eddie Barker and Bro. Roger Cline Officiating. Burial will follow in the Barker Cemetery in Grahn, KY.

Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 PM Wednesday April 3, 2024, at the Duvall and Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 149 Whitt Street, Olive Hill, KY 41164
