Evelyn (White) Arrington

1930-2024

Evelyn White Arrington, 93, of Olive Hill, KY, entered into rest on February 19, 2024, at her residence.  She was born June 29, 1930, in Bagley, WV to the late Dewey and Ella Stevens White.

Evelyn was a loving mother, grandmother, and homemaker.  She enjoyed her game shows, soap operas, and watching wrestling with her son, Scottie.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her spouse of 40 years, Louis Arrington; one daughter, Jean Arrington; three sisters, Justina “Teen” Phillips, Dorothy “Dot” Davis, and Dora “Poochie” Littleton; and two brothers, Jesse White and his wife Ann, and Arvil White.

Evelyn is survived by two daughters, Priscilla (Dennis) Young of Ashland, Oh, and Judy (Joe) Wilburn of Olive Hill; three sons, Arvil (Juanita) Arrington of Grayson, Randy Arrington of Olive Hill, and Scott Arrington of Olive Hill; one sister, Anna Powell of West Virginia; six grandchildren, Camellia (Burley) Stapley, Misty Arrington, Kris (Tara) Mowry, Kelly (Andrew) Szink, Joe (Katie) Wilburn, and Jordan (Taylor) Wilburn; eleven great-grandchildren, Hannah, Owen, Kamden, Macyn, Reid, Rylee, Adalyn, Ryland, Ever, Carson, and Campbell; and one great-great grandchild, Navy. In addition to these, she leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives that will greatly miss her.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 25, 2024, at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service, with Owen Stapley and Joe Wilburn officiating.  Burial will follow at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.

Friends may visit 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Sunday, February 25, 2024 at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 149 Whitt Street, Olive Hill, KY 41164.

Kris Mowry, Joe Wilburn, Jordan Wilburn, Reid Burton, Kamden Mowry, and Owen Stapley will serve as pallbearers.

Carson Szink, Campbell Szink, Ryland Wilburn, Macyn Mowry, Rylee Burton, Adalyn Wilburn, Ever Wilburn, and Navy Stapley will serve as honorary pallbearers.
