Esther Bear

Esther Bear, 80, of Olive Hill, Ky entered into rest Thursday afternoon, April 25, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her family following an extended illness. She was born December 27, 1943 in Elliott County, KY, a daughter of the late James Hardin Bear and Emily Ethel Boggs Bear.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters and Three brothers-in-law,  Pauline and George Clifton Rice, Lucille Bear, Annie Catherine Holbrook and her husband Luster, Margie Holbrook and her husband Clabe; one brother, Ray Bear; one sister-in-law Charlena Bear.

Esther was a member of the Kirk Memorial Baptist Church in Grahn, KY for many years, she retired from Cowden’s Manufacturing Olive Hill after many years. She loved to draw working in the Garden and working on the farm, with her Brothers and Sisters.

She is survived by one sister Nemo Bear; two brothers, Floyd Bear and Ervin Bear; one sister-in-law, Diana Bear. In addition to these she is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends that will cherish her memory.

Funeral Services will be Conducted 1:00 PM Sunday April 28, 2024 at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service, in Olive Hill, KY with Bro. Eddie Barker and Bro. Roger Cline Officiating. Burial will follow in the Barker Cemetery in Grahn, KY.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Saturday April 27, 2024 and after 9:00 AM Sunday at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 149 Whitt Street, Olive Hill, KY 41164.
