Phyllis Laura Greenhill Evans, 85, of Olive Hill completed her labors on earth and went to her heavenly home on Monday morning, June 27, 2016 at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, KY. Phyllis was born April 1, 1931, the first of twins. She was the daughter of the late J.L. and Helen Maggard Greenhill.

In 1950 Phyllis married Fred Evans Jr., they celebrated 52 wonderful years together.

Phyllis worked most of her adult life in clothing manufacturing, Starting as a seamstress and working her way up to supervisory levels, she also worked many enjoyable years at James’s Drive- Inn and was co-owner and manager of Grandmother’s Attic in Olive Hill.

Her faith was very big and important part of her life. She enjoyed going to church and was a member of the Olive Hill Wesleyan Church. She was eager to witness to all she came into contact with.

After her faith she was most devoted to her family always seeing that every need was met, and enjoying her great-granddaughters Katie Bug and Mack.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, her twin brother Don Greenhill; a brother-in-law Jerry “Goose” Roark and a sister-in-law Betty Rose Greenhill.

She is survived by her 2 Daughters, Freda Evans and Teresa (Jeff) Davis both of Olive Hill; one grandson, Nicholas Rodgers of Olive Hill; 2 great-grandaughters Katlyn Nichole and Mackenzie Ryann Rodgers of Lawrenceburg, KY; a sister Judy  Greenhill Roark of Olive Hill, KY; a niece  Jayla Greenhill Suttles and a grand-nephew, Brandon Suttles both of Olive Hill; a nephew Don (Mary) Greenhill of Morehead; 3 grand-nephews Donald Greenhill III, J. Tyler Greenhill and Seth Thomas Greenhill all of Morehead and a sister-in-law Barbara Greenhill also of Morehead, KY.

In addition to these she leaves behind many nieces and nephews and cousins.

She will be forever missed and remembered.

Funeral Services will be conducted 3:00 PM Saturday July 2, 2016 at the Olive Hill Wesleyan Church with Bro.Dale Collingsworth and Bro. Allen Wells officiating. Burial will follow in the McFerren Cemetery in Olive Hill, KY.

Friends may call 5-9 PM Friday July 1, 2016 and after 8:00 AM Saturday at the Olive Hill Wesleyan Church in Olive Hill, KY
