John Paul Dixon

1977-2015

John Paul Dixon, 38, of Lexington, KY, passed away Saturday afternoon, December 5, 2015, in Lexington, KY. He was born May 28, 1977, in Portland, OR. John Paul was a 1996 graduate of George Roger Clark High School where he was very active in the marching band. He was a certified scuba diver and loved music and playing soccer. Paul was a United States Marine Corps veteran and worked in the Engineering department at Big Ass Solutions in Lexington. He also was a member of the Church of Christ.

John Paul was preceded in death by his grandfather, Richard Hood.

He is survived by his son, Seth Dixon of London, KY; his mother and step-father, Deborah and Charles Tharpe of Lexington, KY; one brother Gregory (Ashley) Dixon of Paris, KY; one sister, Sheryl Dixon of Lexington, KY. In addition to these, John Paul leaves numerous relatives and friends that will sadly miss him.

Visitation will be 6-8 PM Thursday, December 10, 2015, at the River of Life Church of God, 757 Wilderness Road, Lexington, KY.

Private interment will follow at a later date.
